Dr. Fahimeh Zibaee D.V.M
I graduated from veterinary school in 2009 and began my career as a large animal practitioner—deeply inspired by my roots, with both of my grandparents being farmers and a childhood spent surrounded by animals. I loved working with cows, sheep, and horses, but after sustaining hip injuries, I shifted my focus to small animal medicine.
Since earning my California veterinary license in 2018, I’ve been fully dedicated to caring for dogs and cats. I’m passionate about forming meaningful relationships with both pets and their people. For me, being a veterinarian is about more than medicine—it’s about empathy, connection, and trust.
At home, I live with two middle-aged cats, Jasper and Emmett, who bring endless comfort and laughs. Over the past few months, I’ve loved becoming part of the mountain community, and I look forward to serving and growing with it for years to come.
Julie Stacey
Hospital Manager
I’m excited to have recently rejoined Summit Vet as the new Hospital Manager. Many may remember me from my earlier years here, working alongside Tony and Mary Madden as a Veterinary Technician. With over 20 years of experience in the veterinary field, I’m thrilled to be back and passionate about helping the hospital and kennels grow and thrive to their fullest potential.
In addition to my role at Summit Vet, I’ve been a full-time local Realtor with Keller Williams Realty for the past 15 years. Balancing both careers allows me to stay deeply connected to the community I love.
I’m a longtime mountain resident, living here with my husband, our two children, and a lively mix of furry and feathery family members. It’s an honor to serve the community both in real estate and in animal care, right here in the place I proudly call home.
Samantha Amos
Veterinary Technician
With over 15 years of experience in veterinary medicine, I’ve built my career around caring for animals and supporting the families who love them. I recently joined the team at Summit Veterinary and am looking forward to connecting with our clients and their pets. As a veterinary technician, I’m committed to creating a calm, caring environment and delivering the highest quality care. Outside of work, I’m a widowed single mom of two wonderful kids—being a parent has taught me patience, resilience, and compassion, all of which I bring to my work every day.
Jae Meola
Veterinary Technician
Since 2014, Jae has been caring for animals of all kinds—as a Veterinary Technician and an animal lover at heart. Their compassion doesn’t stop when the workday ends; at home, Jae is happily surrounded by two cats, a snake, two tarantulas, and a betta fish. When not tending to animals, Jae enjoys watching movies, relaxing with their pets, and spending time with friends and family.
Sean Sena
Veterinary Assistant
I’ve been working in the veterinary field for over 7 years now. My journey started in 2018 as a Kennel Tech, then I became a dog trainer in 2021, and I’m currently an Assistant Vet Tech. I’m working toward becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) and actively studying for the exam!
At home, I’ve got a fun little crew—1 dog, 2 cats, and a bearded dragon. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending quality time with my girlfriend and friends, especially cruising around Santa Cruz.
Mark Volosskiy

My name is Mark, and I’m a local mountain resident who has been part of the Summit Veterinary team for the past two years. I have a genuine passion for caring for animals and enjoy being around them every day. Outside of work, I love spending time at home relaxing with my two cats or taking trips to the beach.
Jesus Bernabe
Veterinary Assistant
My name is Jesus Bernabe, and I am currently pursuing my education to become a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). I have been passionate about animals since childhood and have always found them truly fascinating. I currently share my home with two dogs—a Chihuahua named Buzz and a Miniature Australian Shepherd named Woody—as well as three birds. In my free time, I enjoy watching animal documentaries and continuing to learn more about the animal kingdom.
